Party bus rentals in NYC run $175-$325 per hour with a 4-hour minimum on most vehicles. A typical weekend bachelorette night — 14 passengers, 5 hours, 1 AM return — lands between $875 and $1,625 depending on bus size, plus 20% chauffeur gratuity and roughly $20-$35 in tolls.
That's the short answer. For the longer version, here's exactly how NYC party bus pricing works, with real numbers from 127+ recent bookings.
The five vehicle tiers and what they cost
Executive Sprinter Van (14 pax) — $175/hr, 3-hour minimum ($525 total). Best for small VIP groups, airport group transfers, and low-key corporate shuttles. Captain's chairs, rear bench, premium audio, no onboard bar.
Standard Party Bus (16 pax) — $175/hr, 4-hour minimum ($700 total). LED perimeter lighting, premium audio with Bluetooth, two ice coolers, wrap-around seating. The entry-level bachelorette/birthday option.
Premium Party Bus (24 pax) — $225/hr, 4-hour minimum ($900 total). Adds fiber-optic starlight ceiling, laser and fog machine, subwoofer bass tubes, two bar stations, three flat-screen TVs. The most-booked vehicle for mid-size nightlife.
Large Party Bus (32 pax) — $275/hr, 4-hour minimum ($1,100 total). Full DJ console, onboard restroom, granite bar with LED base, privacy partition to the chauffeur. Typically booked for weddings, proms, and corporate groups of 25+.
Luxury Limo Bus (20 pax) — $325/hr, 4-hour minimum ($1,300 total). Italian leather club seating, 75" rear video wall, rose gold accent lighting, champagne cooler. VIP nights, executive events, celebrity transport.
What the hourly rate actually covers
The hourly rate includes vehicle, chauffeur, fuel, commercial liability insurance ($5M coverage), all onboard amenities (LED lighting, sound system, Bluetooth/aux, USB charging, ice coolers, glassware, bar stations), pre-trip inspection, and 24/7 dispatch support. Unlimited stops during your booked hours. No mileage cap.
What's not included: chauffeur gratuity (18-20% is industry-standard), tolls (Lincoln, Holland, GWB, Verrazzano, Triboro, Queens-Midtown — typically $20-$35 round trip for a Manhattan-outer-borough night), stadium/event parking passes, and any custom decor beyond our standard package.
Surge pricing and peak-season pricing — we don't do either
Unlike rideshare, our rate is the rate. Friday at 9 PM: $175/hr. NYE at 11 PM: $175/hr. Prom Saturday in mid-May: $175/hr. Christmas-corporate Saturday in December: $175/hr. What changes on peak dates is availability, not price — prom season and NYE book out 8-12 weeks ahead, and Saturdays in wedding season (May-October) fill up 4-6 weeks ahead.
If someone quotes you a "peak Saturday multiplier" or a "holiday surcharge," you're either talking to a broker (not a direct operator) or a company with variable pricing. We don't run either model.

Why this matters for your budget
Most people planning an NYC party bus budget by Googling "average cost" — which is misleading because the answer depends almost entirely on vehicle size and duration. Two groups of 14 could book identical itineraries and one pays $875 (Standard Party Bus, 5 hours) while the other pays $1,625 (Luxury Limo Bus, 5 hours). Neither is wrong. They're optimizing for different things.
